Do you recall my January posts on Massenet’s opera “Cendrillon”?! My review of the Cedar Rapids Opera production has been published by the Opera Magazine - THE ONLY opera publication in the world!!! This is THE FIRST TIME since its inception in 1998 that Cedar Rapids Opera has been recognized by the Opera Magazine - big stinking deal!!! My January 2024 Iowa City Press-Citizen article on the Napoleonic background of Puccini’s opera “Tosca” prompted the invitation to review the Cedar Rapids Opera production of “Cendrillon” for the Opera Magazine!!!

Congratulations, Cedar Rapids Opera!!! Looking forward to “Die Fledermaus” in January, 2026!!! See you at the opera!!!
